THE CONCERT
There's a humble upright piano
for events in the village hall,
But the page-turner, smooth and practised,
Suggests something grand after all.
Her role is to function and not to be seen -
She even wears the right shade of green
to modestly play her part.
Just as Beethoven sagely expressed it -
'The art is concealing the art.'
